Youth Mentorship & Criminal Justice Talks

Youth Mentorship & Criminal Justice Talks are designed to give students an honest, encouraging look at the justice system from someone who has walked every level of public safety-military, local, state, federal, and academic. We meet with high school classes, criminal justice programs, ROTC units, youth groups, and college organizations to explain how the courts and law enforcement really work, and what ethical leadership looks like in practice.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎
Each visit combines mentoring with education. For younger students, we focus on choices, consequences, and respect for the law, while emphasizing that every person in court deserves dignity and a fair hearing. For high school and college criminal justice classes, we walk through real‑world career paths, from patrol to federal investigations to court administration and teaching at the university level.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎
With degrees ranging from an Associate in Law Enforcement and a Bachelor in Criminal Justice to a Doctor of Public Administration, an Executive Juris Doctor, and a Ph.D. in Management, we are able to answer students' questions about both the practical and academic sides of the field. We also discuss modern issues-such as technology, terrorism prevention, and community‑oriented policing-in a way that highlights both public safety and civil liberties.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎
Talks can be delivered in assemblies, classroom sessions, or virtual formats. We encourage dialogue, not just lectures, using Q&A, scenario discussions, and, when appropriate, brief role‑plays that help students see what a fair, impartial Magistrate Court should look like.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎
These engagements give educators a partner who reinforces respect for the law and public service, while giving students a relatable, real‑world example of how integrity, hard work, and ongoing education can shape a meaningful career serving their community.
